Why we started

Coastie Content was born from a simple belief: you don’t have to be in the city to do great work. The Central Coast is full of incredible businesses, but too often the tools and tactics for growth stay locked up in big-city offices & very expensive agencies. We wanted to change that.

We also saw a workforce problem. Talented people, especially parents, being dragged back to long commutes and rigid office hours. We believe in a better way: more time for drop-offs, beach swims, and family dinners, without giving up meaningful careers.

For us, it’s not a trade-off. It’s a win-win. Local businesses getting high-quality support and local people building fulfilling, flexible work lives.

Who we work with

We partner with ambitious businesses (and solopreneurs) on the Central Coast who want to grow without losing their roots. From solo founders to small teams ready to level up, we work best with people who value fresh thinking, collaboration, and keeping things practical. We’re boutique by choice-we’d rather take on fewer clients and give them our all.

Our expertise

Coastie Content is led by me, Alex Holderness. I’ve spent 15+ years in content and digital. Everything from launching government social media channels, to driving the first traffic for startups, to leading content for one of Australia’s largest financial comparison sites.

What drives me is making the complex simple. Whether that’s explaining tricky finance terms so everyday Australians can make better money choices, or demystifying tech so business owners can actually see their customers - my goal is always clarity, impact, and results.

On a personal note, I’ve got three young kids (including twin girls!), a busy home, and a love for the kind of work that cuts through the noise. Less commuting, less red tape, more doing.
